Gustavo Petro: Meet the Children of the Presidential Candidate of the Historical Pact

The presidential candidate for the Historical Pact, Gustavo Petro, has given something to talk about in recent weeks due to the “Social Pardon” and the alleged audio of the drug trafficker 'Marquitos Figueroa', in which he asks that they vote for the progressive candidate for the presidential elections that will take place on May 29. Petro has used his social networks to defend himself and clarify many of the situations he has been singled out for.

“Does social forgiveness mean that corrupt people are released from prison or their sentences reduced? For nothing. On the contrary. Social forgiveness implies that all corrupt people go to jail without exception, and pay their sentences. Corruption is the breaking of forgiveness,” said the candidate of the Historical Pact on his social networks

Even Nicolás Petro, his son, who is a deputy of the Atlantic Department, would have made his position clear through a short trine in which, without directly mentioning the situation, his followers can assume that it was because of his father's last remarks. “What childish mistakes,” wrote the candidate's son last Wednesday, April 13.

Nicolás Petro, 34, previously mentioned, is surely the most recognized of the five children of the presidential candidate. He has been present at several public appearances and is a deputy of the Atlantic Department. He is a lawyer graduated from the Pontifical Bolivarian University and holds a master's degree in Climate Change in Barcelona. It is the result of the relationship that the former senator had with Katia Burgos.

The deputy recently proposed to his girlfriend, Days Vasquez, who claimed that the son of the presidential candidate of the Historical Pact “expropriated his heart.” “Yes and a thousand times Yes,” the now-fiancée of Nicolás Petro wrote on her social networks.

Gustavo Petro was romantically involved with Luz Herrán Cárdenas, and as a result of that union, Andrés Gustavo Petro was born, who received political asylum in Canada. Andrea Petro, also the daughter of the two of them, lives in France, where she studied, got married and already has two children.

In his current marriage to Verónica Alcocer, he had two daughters Sofía and Antonella Petro, who until very recently stayed away from the public. However, in this election campaign, Sofia has been very active in supporting and accompanying her father in some interviews or debates. The presidential candidate also has a stepson, Nicolás Arbeláez, Veronica's son, and who has been in some of the former senator's social media posts.
