The Revocation of Mandate continues to give something to talk about, since it was not only surrounded by irregularities in terms of its promotion, but also had low participation by citizens.

Before this took place, there were numerous controversies about the advertising that was posted on social networks, as well as the appearance of several spectacular events that occurred during the electoral ban, which caused the indignation of politicians and part of Mexican society.

When the long-awaited and much-publicized day came, the vote took place in the middle of long lines in some places, as well as the little attendance in others. What was celebrated by the opposition bloc, who assured that those who went to the vote were carried away.

Such is the case of the panist Fernando Belaunzarán, who has criticized the government of Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) as well as the revocation of mandate consultation.

Through his official Twitter account, where he also shares video columns in which he broadcasts his positions regarding the Fourth Transformation (Q4), he stated that it was a wise move for the opposition to have called absenteeism in the Revocation, which portrayed AMLO, in his opinion, as a “raccoon cheater”.

“The opposition was right to call not to vote in the recall farce. He took @lopezobrador_ out of his boxes and he exhibited himself as a raccoon cheat. The abstention of 82% showed that the people abandoned him in their delusions of grandeur. His worst defeat,” Belaunzarán wrote.

He also assured that the “citizens did not request the exercise, it was done because of the president's whim of being on the ballot again and promoting praise to his person”, which caused the abstentionism of 80% of the population.

In turn, he affirmed that beneficiaries of social programs were coerced and voter quotas were requested from governors and noted that Mario Delgado had the cynicism of carrying carry-ons.

Hours later, he assured that there was a great possibility that the opposition would win the next presidential election in 2024 “... if not ap*nd*ja”.

“@lopezobrador_ is reducing itself to the customer vote. The public debate is losing it from the street. I'm not talking about the applusometer, nothing to do with popularity. I'm talking about the intellectual madriza that suffers every day.”

This failure was attributed, by some figures related to the 4T government, to other reasons. There were those who blamed this result on the National Electoral Institute (INE) as the filmmaker and defender of AMLO's government project, Epigmenio Ibarra.

He assured that the INE did not give the necessary dissemination: “that Ciro Murayama does not say is that the only dirty thing in the revocation consultation was his own action and that of Lorenzo Córdova; they both betrayed democracy, disrespected the people of Mexico, they breached their duty...”

On the other hand, there was also the controversial statement by Pablo Gómez Álvarez, head of the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), who assured that citizens who did not cast their votes in the consultation, had failed to meet their obligations and should therefore be penalized.

Faced with this situation, Jesús Ortega Martínez, former national president of the Democratic Revolution Party (PRD), said that these statements were a feeling of defeat: “There are almost 77 million citizens @s who are trying to penalize. What head does it fit in! ”.
