Tears, cheers and feelings were taken by Buenaventura, as Colombia's main port dismissed its idol, Freddy Rincón. The coffin of the legendary former player arrived in his hometown, where he is veiled to later take him back to Cali and have it in the burning chamber at the Pascual Guerrero Stadium, a setting that witnessed his magic and in the city where the people are driving through his departure. This provision was made by the mayor's office of Jorge Iván Ospina, who has arranged different measures to commemorate the life and work of Rincón.

After reaching a consensus with the family, the mayor's office of Santiago de Cali reported that the highest sports arena in the capital of Vallecaucana will open its doors to welcome its idol, because both in Buenaventura and in this city, Rincón had become a badge as a son of the Pacific. The body will be transferred this Friday to the 'branch of heaven' to be watched by his family in a private ceremony until Saturday at noon, when the doors would open and fans could enter the 'Sanfernandino' to give the last farewell to the 'Colossus'.

This farewell ceremony in Cali is expected to be attended by his best friends, as well as former national and international football players and stars, as Freddy Eusebio Rincón's legacy was known in different countries such as Brazil, Spain and Italy.

This space evokes what happened with Diego Armando Maradona, the important Argentine player who after his death was veiled in Buenos Aires. For this event, the Casa Rosada in Argentina was available, for the installation of the burning chamber and for both family and fans to crowd in this place to say goodbye to their greatest idol, also considered to be the best player in history.

The children of Rincón spoke out about this regrettable fact. Sebastian Rincón, the youngest and also a footballer in Argentina, spoke on ESPN. He explained how he learned about what happened and gave his perspective on the legal landscape of the accident, in response to this he said:

At the same time, he stressed that, after landing in Colombia, he visited his father and was able to determine that what they were saying was unbelievable: “I leave the concentration and traveled to Cali, I saw my dad, I saw the hit, they say that the driver doesn't have a hit and supposedly he was driving and that the passenger had nothing, so it's something that doesn't have much science . The truth gives me a lot of pain that they want to damage my dad's name, damage the name of a person who can't defend himself.”

Finally, the player asked for justice and suggested to the person driving the vehicle, who apparently escaped, that he appear before the authorities in order to explain what happened. “All I say is that the driver comes out and that he speaks, that, from his point of view of things and nothing, I expect justice to do its job and determine what really happened,” he said.

Today, the picture of the accident is not clear, since the person who was allegedly driving the van in which 'El Colosso' was driving, does not appear to give his testimony.
