Alejandro Fernández keeps the memory of his father alive at every performance and last Thursday was no exception. El Potrillo gave a spectacular concert in Guerrero, where he not only performed his greatest hits, but also sang together with Vicente Fernández the last which they recorded together, thus provoking the euphoria of the audience.

After a well-deserved vacation by the sea, the interpreter of Me dedicé a perte resumed Hecho en México, a tour with which he has toured much of the country after the regrettable death of Charro de Huentitán. On the night of April 14, it was Acapulco's turn and Alejandro Fernández performed, for the first time, at the newly inaugurated GNP Seguros Arena.

From the beginning of the show, attendees chanted the songs of the tapatio artist at the top of their lungs. However, they did not expect the big surprise they would get almost at the end, when the immortal voice of Vicente Fernández began to be heard in the speakers of the establishment. It all happened as part of the performance of Mentí, a song that came out in 2020 and was the last song that father and son recorded in rabado together.

But that was not all, El Potrillo also dedicated his interpretation of These Jealousy to his father. It should be remembered that the song was released in 2007, becoming one of the last hits that positioned the idol of Mexico. Alejandro shared his feelings through his Instagram stories where he hinted that Chente's physical absence continues to hurt.

Every day I miss you more, old man. We hugged you from here,” he wrote about a short video they recorded while singing: “This jealousy hurts me, it drives me crazy. I'll never learn to live without you. The worst thing is that very late I understood yes, yes, with you I had everything and I lost it.”

This was not the only time that Alejandro Fernández remembers his father on stage. After the heartfelt death of Charro de Huentitán in December 2021, his son had to fulfill the presentations he had scheduled and he did so. Despite the strength and fortitude he tried to demonstrate at all times, he couldn't help but let go in tears during the concert he gave just six days later in Guadalajara.

I want you to know that the last time my father stepped on a stage was here, in the Telmex Auditorium. Let's celebrate his life today, with a round of applause that reaches heaven,” he said on that occasion.

On the other hand, Alejandro Fernández has tried to overcome the loss of his father by taking refuge in Cayetana, his first granddaughter who just turned her first year. During his last performance in Guadalajara, the performer of Hoy I Want You surprised his fans with the presence of the baby on stage and what attracted the most attention is that he invited her to sing.

Although the daughter of Camila Fernández and Francisco Barba could not sing, the moment will remain for posterity and she will surely be remembered if she ever decides to follow in the footsteps of her mother, grandfather and great-grandfather, giving rise to a new generation of performers within the Fernández dynasty. A few weeks ago, El Potrillo dedicated a touching message to him on his Instagram profile.

Very good morning! says my little meat doll! If it weren't for this moment... Thank you for coming into the world, you are a divine treasure and forever part of me... I love you Cayetana,” he wrote.

It should be remembered that Cayetana is not his only granddaughter, Alejandro became the grandfather of a girl again in mid-March, Mia is the result of the marriage between Alex Fernández and Alexia Hernandez.
