Users reacted to the farewell of “Scrat” from the “Ice Age”

The studio will have to close due to the economic problems arising from the COVID-19 crisis, as well as the legal battle over the registration of the character

Scrat says goodbye to the Ice Age after more than 20 years

During the middle of April, a group of animators from Blue Sky Studio uploaded a video to say goodbye to the studio after the purchase of Disney. Another situation that led to the end of the character, as well as the purchase of 20th Century Fox, by The Walt Disney Company, was the legal dispute that the company that made the Ice Age saga for more than two decades, with which she was recently designated as the intellectual creator of the famous character, the American cartoonist, Ivy Silberstein.

The character of Scrat has participated in 5 of the official films: The Ice Age (2002), The Ice Age 2 (2006), The Ice Age 3 (2009), The Ice Age 4 (2012) and The Ice Age: Clash of Worlds (2016).

On the other hand, and as a sense of tribute by Disney, it was launched on its streaming platform Disney+, The Ice Age: The Adventures of Scrat, a series of six animated shorts starring Scrat, where he can be seen in a new stage with ups and downs and new adventures derived from his recent fatherhood.

The series was directed by different characters close to Disney and will star Scrat and Baby Scrat as they bond and fight for possession of the treasured acorn.

The first chapter is called Nuts About You, Scrat; there Scrat meets his son, Baby Scrat and lives the absolute joy of being a father, until Baby Scrat sees the acorn for the first time. Chapter two is named LoFi Scrat Beats to Sleep/Chill to, Scrat plays a percussive lullaby so that Baby Scrat stops crying and falls asleep.

For the third episode the selected name was X's and Uh-O's, here Scrat shows Baby Scrat how to plant the acorn, but in the end it is he who learns a lesson. The fourth episode is called Nutty Reflections, Scrat and Baby Scrat run after the acorn and get into a dark cave that looks like a creepy maze of mirrors.

The name of the fifth chapter is Teeter Toddler, thanks to a dodo, Scrat and Baby Scrat end up on opposite sides of a trunk supported by a single branch. For the sixth and final episode the selected title is Nut The End, the acorn flies off and falls to a cliff. With the acorn apparently lost forever.
