More than a year after the massacre in which 11 construction workers were killed in Tonalá, the Jalisco Public Prosecutor's Office was linked to the trial against one of the alleged hit men of the Nueva Plaza Cartel, who are identified as responsible for the multi-homicide.
The ministerial authorities specified that J. Jesús M. was arrested after the murders that took place on February 27, 2021, as he had a warrant for his arrest for a different intentional homicide. But it was recently that he was prosecuted for the attack perpetrated in the colony la Jauja.
Now, the alleged member of the criminal group will be held in informal pre-trial detention for one year as a precautionary measure. He faces charges of qualified and attempted homicide, as two people were also injured in the shooting.
