They implement mobile vaccination points in churches during Easter in Bogotá

The posts will be opened on Thursday 14, Friday 15 and Sunday 17 April in the churches, places of worship or tourism in the capital

The District Health Secretariat reported this Wednesday that it will make mobile vaccination points against covid-19 available to citizens during Easter. The strategy will be implemented in churches, places of worship or tourism in the city with the aim of enabling people to start, continue or complete their immunization schemes while carrying out religious, tourist or sports activities.

Mobile vaccination points will be enabled on Thursday 14, Friday 15 and Sunday 17 April between 8:00 in the morning and 2:00 in the afternoon. Qualified positions will have a team of six people starting at a specific site and, depending on demand, will advance to other churches or spaces where the public gathers.

These are the initial places where the mobile points will be:

Thursday 14: San Bernardino de Bosa Church, Beato José Allamado Church, Santander Park and 20 de Julio Church.

Friday 15: San Juan Parish.

Sunday 17: Santa Inés Church and Market Square 20 de Julio.

“These mobile points will join the fixed points that will be available during Holy Week,” explained the Ministry of Health. He also re-invited the population to access immunization against coronavirus; while recalling that vaccination is also enabled for other diseases such as measles, rubella, whooping cough and mumps, especially for children.

The Secretariat recalled what will be the sites that have a high biological capacity during the holy days. These places will operate between 8:00 in the morning and 3:00 in the afternoon and join those that are enabled by the EPS network:

Thursday 14: Galerias Shopping Center, Tibabuyes Coliseum, El Tunal Coliseo Tent, El Tunal Shopping Center, Altavista Shopping Center, South Terminal, Centro Mayor shopping center until 1:00 p.m., Corferias, Paseo Villa del Rio Shopping Center.

Friday 15: Galerías Shopping Center, Tibabuyes Coliseum, El Tunal Coliseo Tent, El Tunal Shopping Center, Altavista Shopping Center, Punto Vive Digital (Bosa), Corferias, Paseo Villa del Rio Shopping Center.

Saturday 16: Galerias Shopping Center, Tibabuyes Coliseum, El Tunal Coliseo Tent, Tunal Portal, Gran Colombiano Communal Hall, Gran Plaza Ensueño Bosa, Portal de las Americas, Centro Mayor Shopping Center, Santafé Shopping Center, La Colina Shopping Center, El Tintal Library, Corferias, Paseo Villa del Rio Shopping Center.

Sunday 17: Galerías Shopping Center, Tibabuyes Coliseum, El Tunal Coliseo Tent, El Tunal Shopping Center, Altavista Shopping Center, Gran Colombiano Communal Hall, Mayor Shopping Center, Santafé Shopping Center, La Colina Shopping Center, El Tintal Library, Corferias, Paseo Villa del Rio Shopping Center.

MinSalud asks to take advantage of Easter to complete the vaccination scheme

With the arrival of Major Week, the Ministry of Health asked the authorities of the different cities and municipalities of the country to focus their reinforcements on completing vaccination schedules and applying booster doses against covid-19.

Ivan Cárdenas, deputy director of Communicable Diseases of the ministry, was responsible for providing this information, who called for not neglecting effective practices and behaviors for the management and control of the risk of the virus.

“We call on all individuals, families and communities to maintain biosecurity measures such as hand washing during this Easter week, but above all, to prioritize completing vaccination schedules and applying the booster dose,” explained the deputy director (e).
