They capture alias Nuso, leader of a criminal group operating in the 16th commune of Medellín

Recently, the authorities in Medellín announced the capture of one of the most wanted criminals in the 16th commune, Belén. This is a 25-year-old man known by the alias Nuso.

According to the operational undersecretary of the Secretariat for Security and Coexistence, Ómar Rodríguez Aranda, alias Nuso was the head of a criminal structure that had special interference in commune 16; however, he also committed crimes in other areas of the capital of Antioquia.

The Mayor's Office of Medellín reported that a special investigation team, with support from the Integrated Emergency and Security System of Medellín and the Attorney General's Office, captured 'Nuso', in recent days.

According to the authorities, the prisoner had been tracked since 2013, when he had joined the criminal group operating in commune 16. According to the investigations, little by little the criminal gained the trust of this network until between 2019 and 2020 he became head of the structure.

The authorities had identified alias Nuso as participating in multiple criminal actions such as targeted homicides, extortion, forced displacement and drug trafficking, as well as the instrumentalization of minors to commit various crimes.

According to the authorities, alias Nuso was captured in the vicinity of the Caribe neighborhood, and the arrest warrant for the crimes of concert to commit crime and extortion, issued by the Octavo Municipal Criminal Judge of Medellín, materialized.

It should be recalled that Daniel Quintero's administration has been emphatic in refusing the use of minors to commit crimes in the city.

On several occasions, the mayor of Medellín has assured that the mayor's office is looking for different strategies to remove children from the hands of criminals, which is why the administration has been responsible for strengthening education. For example, this year technological equipment has been delivered so that children and adolescents can advance their studies without problems.

Capture 'Kheny', accused of instrumentalizing minors in Itagüí

A week ago, local authorities succeeded in the capture of a 31-year-old woman known by the alias Kheny. According to the investigations, this person was responsible for instrumentalizing minors in Itagüí to commit different crimes such as theft.

Rafael Andrés Otálvaro Sánchez, Secretary of Security of Itagüí, reported that this criminal is the daughter of alias La Reina and a partner of alias Sonic or 'Rasta', leaders of a criminal network operating in that town of Antioquia. The above-mentioned criminals were caught between 2020 and 2021.
