The trails of the Eastern Hills will be enabled at Easter

People from Bogota and visitors will be able to hike through Quebrada La Vieja, San Francisco-Vicachá, La Aguadora and Guadalupe — Aguanoso.

The mayor's office of Bogotá reported that the Quebrada La Vieja, San Francisco-Vicachá, La Aguadora and Guadalupe - Aguanoso trails will be open for citizens to travel during Holy Week. The four trails are located in the Eastern Hills of Bogotá.

The tours that will be carried out through these ecosystems guarantee passive recreation and the Public Use Plan of the Los Cerros reserve. To attend, citizens must make prior registration in the application https://gme.acueducto.com.co/visitas/. Upon arrival at the meeting point, they will verify the quota and the vaccination card. The operation will work like this:

Camino Guadalupe - Aguanoso

Thursday 14th, Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th April

Check-in: 6:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. Maximum check-out time: 12 p.m.

Located in the town of Santa Fe, its entrance is through the Sanctuary of Guadalupe. The hikers will be accompanied by guides and coexistence managers who know each of the paths. Individuals must register on the corresponding digital platforms.

From Tuesday 12th to Sunday 17th

Check-in: 6 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The La Vieja ravine is a space that has a distance of approximately 5.7 kilometers. The road is part of the middle basin of the Bogotá River.

Santa Ana La Aguadora

From Thursday 14th to Sunday 17th April

Admission: 6 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Town of Usaquén. Entrance Calle 119 No. 0 -10 east.

The Santa Ana - La Aguadora trail is approximately 1.75 kilometers long, from the ranger's house, in Santa Ana, to the viewpoint. In addition, it is part of the town of Usaquén and is part of what is now known as Club the water carrier of La Empresa De Acueducto y Alcantarillado de Bogotá (EAAB).

San Francisco Vicacha

From Tuesday 12th to Sunday 17th

Located in the eastern part of the towns of Santa Fe and La Candelaria. Access by the Monserrate funicular, via Circunvalar Avenue. San Francisco - Vicachá is a historical, religious and cultural natural space that allows strengthening links between the protected area and life in the urban area, based on the exchange of knowledge, knowledge, awareness, use and enjoyment of this path.

The district administration warns you that the Guadalupe - Aguanoso road will be closed on Friday, April 15 due to a pilgrimage that will take place along the main road to Guadalupe. The pilgrimage that takes place from the Nuestra Señora de La Peña church, in the Los Laches neighborhood, Ermita de la Peña or Alto de La Cruz to Cerro Aguanoso and the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Guadalupe is restricted. The only access is through the church of Guadalupe.

Some of the recommendations for visiting the trails are:

• Do not attend the trail if you have symptoms of flu, fever or difficulty breathing.

• Wear a mask at all times. This one is mandatory.

• Maintain social distancing of 2 meters in the entrance rows and on the path within the trail.
