Seattle Sounders vs New York City: Peruvian attacker Raúl Ruidíaz scored the first goal of the 'Rave Green' on Wednesday, April 13 in the second leg of the 2022 Concachampions semifinals that took place at the Red Bull Arena in New York Pullover.

The Peruvian striker scored his first goal of the 2022 season with a Seattle Sounders jersey. The 'Pulga' started and played its fourth game in the Concacaf Champions League.

The defender of Nouhou Tolo attacked from the left sector and when he reached the large area he assisted Ruidíaz who with a single touch near the penalty spot beat the goal of NYCFC goalkeeper Sean Johnson to open the score 28 minutes into the first half.

Ruidíaz defined under pressure from his compatriot, defender Alexander Callens, who was part of the starting eleven of New York City and scored six matches in the international tournament.

Finally, 'The Sounders' equalized 1-1 against the 'Citizens' who managed to score through the steering wheel Santiago Rodríguez in the 51 minutes. In the first leg the victory was the green team 3-1 and served to overcome his rival by an overall score of 4-2.

New York City was eliminated from the tournament, while Seattle Sounders qualified for the Concachampions final and will face Mexico's Pumas UNAN in back and forth matches.

Seattle Sounders beat Honduras's Motagua in the round of 16, then Mexico's Leon in quarterfinals and in their last match against New York City. For its part, New York City traveled its way to the semifinals beating Santos de Guapiles of Costa Rica and Comunicaciones from Guatemala.

The other Concachampions finalist, Pumas UNAN managed to compete for the title in the final instance after accounting for Saprissa of Costa Rica, New England Revolution of the MLS and eliminated Cruz Azul from Peruvian coach Juan Reynoso.

Seattle Sounders played five games in the MLS ranked eleventh in the western conference with seven points after two losses, a couple of wins and a draw.
