Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum resume their characters for the close of the franchise and, less than two months after its premiere, Universal Pictures released a preview with comments from the actors paying tribute to the first Jurassic Park. In addition, Colin Trevorrow, the director of the last installment, confirmed that it will be the end of the story.
The new teaser of Jurassic World: Dominion, the third installment of the modern dinosaur saga based on the original films released in the 90s and early 2000s, finally embraces its story with the first films and brought together the protagonists of the two stages to honor the first Jurassic Park. This was the poster that accompanied the release.
In 1993, Steven Spielberg dazzled everyone with Jurassic Park, a science fiction and adventure film proposal that included the emergence of extremely realistic dinosaurs, something not so far achieved. “I cried the first time I saw dinosaurs,” said Bryce Dallas Howard, the protagonist of the current Jurassic World saga, about the first film. The story followed billionaire John Hammond in his goal of making a dream come true: to clone all the dinosaurs of the Jurassic period and turn them into attractions for a theme park located on an island. When he receives a couple of scientists and a mathematician to prove the viability of his great idea, the project starts to take on a dangerous tone.
“I never would have imagined that we would be here working alongside Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum and Laura Dern,” Chris Pratt confessed in the video. It should be noted that he is the male protagonist of the current trilogy. “I thought it was a fantastic idea to bring these two worlds together,” added Laura Dern about Jurassic Park's obvious connection to Jurassic World. While Dallas Howard added: “our stories intersect in the convergence of the two franchises.”
Directed by Trevorrow, the film takes place four years after the destruction of Isla Nublar. Now, dinosaurs have moved to the continent and live with humans all over the world, something that cannot be extended in time. This complicated scenario will change the future and put human series in check.
Pratt and Dallas Howard must join the characters of Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum to try to find a solution that does not compromise the future of humanity. “Nublar Island and its park have been destroyed, but the problem is not over. With dinosaurs scattered around the world, the coexistence between the present and the past reaches a new level of tension”, describes the film's official synopsis.
The premiere of the new Jurassic World will be on June 9 in cinemas in Latin America.
