The well-known talk show format returns to full load on the Mexican small screen, as two of the main exponents of the television genre are about to release their respective programs, with a renewed proposal, as they have recently told.
These are Rocío Sánchez Azuara and Laura Bozzo, two veterans of the format that is based on presenting cases of social and family problems, and exposing them to the public and experts in the field in search of a possible resolution.
After several days of rumors, it was finally confirmed that Rocío left Imagen Televisión, where he had worked for a year on the program that was first called Acércate a Rocío and then Rocío to your side, and after her departure to return to TV Azteca, who will take her place is the Peruvian Bozzo, who has has been singled out as the most staunch rival of Sánchez Azuara.
The Mexican host will return with the format to the television house that saw her grow, because in the early 2000s Rocío participated in the program Ciudad desnuda and then the talk show Cosas de la vida, with which she was successful for several years, until in 2015 she left Ricardo Salinas Pliego's television station amid rumors.
After a period of participating in other projects and after joining Televisa with the program La tercera en discordia, in 2021 Rocío returned to the screen, this time with Imagen Televisión, where she managed to consolidate herself with her program, one of the most watched on the channel.
Now, on her return to TV Azteca, where she arrived accompanied by producer Andrés Tovar, Rocío promises a renewed version of the television format. He said so during his recent visit to Ventaneando.
“Get closer to Rocío is a clinic of emotions, that is, it is simply presenting the stories that we all have, which we should not be afraid of, but just share them to know how to carry them, what to do... learn from each other, unite, and not be so proud to say 'I already have my life resolved'”, expressed.
For her part, Laura Bozzo will air with the show That Laura passes on Imagen Televisión, at the time left vacant by Sánchez Azuara, so they will once again act as direct competition in different companies.
On the similarity between both shows, and even with the also recently released Secretos al Naked, hosted by Carmen Muñoz on his return to Televisa, the Peruvian stressed that she wishes her teammates well, leaving aside the rumored rivalries:
“I wish everyone the best, I think the public is the one who decides, I have no authority for absolutely nothing, I wish the best to all the people who are doing this format and everyone with their own thing, with their personality, that God bless them and that they bless all those who are doing this type of format, I don't I have no problem with anyone, I am for my own business, I am here to solve problems, to help people,” Bozzo said in the media presentation of his program.
The self-proclaimed “lawyer for the poor” said that the big difference in her program, which will be released this Monday, April 18, is that she will have direct contact with people directly in her environment, to do so she will visit them unexpectedly.
“The difference is that I'm going to go out into the street, that's why it's called Let Laura pass because I'm going to go to the houses, right now we're plotting the infrastructure... but the idea of this program is 'here in this house they are attacking someone' and I get to the house, see the problem, make the complaint and also a lot of people can write to me”, he told about the program that comes almost two years after his Unicable Laura program without censorship.
