Tied her feet and hands with packing tape and in traumatic shock, this is how a 3-year-old minor was found who was kidnapped 15 hours earlier by a 48-year-old man and taken to a house where he tortured and sexually abused her.

Juan Antonio Enríquez García, the 'Chiclayo Monster', took advantage of his parents' distraction to get the child's attention and get her into the car he was driving and then take her to the house located in the El Santuario urbanization in Chiclayo, where he committed all kinds of abuse against the minor until she was knocked unconscious.

The parents of the minor, unable to find their daughter, asked the police for help and sent messages through social networks, but it was a WhatsApp audio of the mother that went viral in the city and immediately mobilized all the neighbors, who shared photos of the minor.

Previously, images from citizen security cameras managed to capture the moment when the individual loaded and took the minor in his blue vehicle with an unknown direction.

“Please help me spread, my daughter has disappeared, I can't find her, please spread it on television, help me publish it. My daughter took her a blue car, here all over Lora Avenue, please, I beg you,” the mother said sobbing in the audio that went viral.

Taxi drivers and drivers quickly agreed that they had seen this unit and joined the search for the little one.

At 8:45 a.m. yesterday morning, officers from the Criminal Investigation Division (Divincri) found the BYM-238 license plate vehicle and intervened with Enríquez García, who without remorse confessed that he had kidnapped the minor and kept her on the second floor of her home, in the El Santuario de Chiclayo urbanization.

TERRIBLE SCENE

A police contingent arrived at the house and found the minor in the middle of a terrible scene: she was unconscious on cardboard, tied her feet and hands with packing tape.

Almost immediately, female police personnel picked up the girl and wrapped her in a blanket to take her to Las Mercedes Hospital, where Dr. Sandra Castillo diagnosed that the child was stable, but with dehydration.

The parents arrived at the hospital and accompanied their daughter to the Institute of Legal Medicine (IML), where after being evaluated it was confirmed that she had been a victim of rape.

“I want the rapist to die, to be killed inside, because he had no mercy on my daughter, he had no mercy, it is a huge damage that he has done to him,” said the father of the minor who had come from Paita to help with the search for his little girl.

CHICLAYO RISES

This news outraged thousands of Chiclayans, who gathered outside the Divincri waiting for the aggressor's departure to stone him, but was guarded by agents of the National Police, some of whom were beaten by the mob.

Meanwhile, on social networks Peru's vice president Dina Boluarte spoke out and said that “insecurity and violence in the streets took a new victim: a girl was kidnapped and sexually raped in #Chiclayo. We demand that the full weight of the law be exercised against the aggressor, who has already been captured. The child and her family require our full support.”

The Minister for Women and Vulnerable Populations, Diana Miloslavic, expressed her condemnation of the crime committed against the victim. “My resounding sentence of the crime against the sexually assaulted 3-year-old girl. I demand from our authorities and justice system the most severe punishment against the rapist. We will continue to provide care for the victim and support for their family.”

The institution she heads reported that comprehensive care is being provided to a 3-year-old girl who is a victim of sexual violence. “The perpetrator, who confessed to the crime, was captured by the police. Our lawyer has been participating in the scheduled legal proceedings.

“Yesterday, as soon as we became aware of the kidnapping of the girl, a MIMP #ProgramaNacionalAurora team contacted the family to provide psychological, social and legal care. In addition to coordinating with the National Police. We urge the organs of justice to act with the speed of the case and to apply an exemplary sanction”, the MMPV reads on social networks.

The feminist organization 'Manuela Ramos' argued that “gender-based violence is ageless and stories say so: abusers are people close to the family environment. We demand justice and ask society not to continue spreading images of the little girl. The focus must be on the aggressor, always.”

“Today we shout Justice for Damaris! And we call for no more revictimization for her and her family. We demand the maximum sanction for Juan Antonio Enríquez García, a confessed kidnapper and aggressor. Every day four girls under the age of 14 are victims of rape,” they added.

They also indicated that “the cases reported between 2019 and 2022 are 26,061. No more girls, teenagers, adult women and dissent victims of gender violence! We want childhoods free of violence!”
