José Ramón López Beltrán, eldest son of Mexican Prime President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO), accused the supporters of former President Felipe Calderón (2006-2012) of orchestrating an “absurd and pathetic dirty waron Twitter.

Through his personal account on that social network, where he has been severely attacked after a journalist investigation revealed that he lived in a residence belonging to a former executive of Baker Hughes, a company linked to Petroleos Mexicanos (Pemex); López Beltrán recommended to the South African businessman Elon Musk “start by cleaning Twitter Mexico”.

“With that attitude, willingness and desire to change things, @elonmusk should start by cleaning @TwitterMexico. Directed by a few self-conscious @felipecalderon supporters, who all they do is fill @twitter bots with bots for their absurd and pathetic dirty war,” wrote the firstborn son of the Chief Executive.

In response to the publication of López Beltrán, supporters of his father's administration supported the request, while other users asked him to disclose the amounts and source of his income: “And how much money do you make for each brilliant tweet like this one? Sure you pay for Casa Gris here”, “We want Twitter Mexico to be cleaned but now”, “Are you going to tell us what you live on?” , “Better tell us how you became a millionaire without working”, were some of the reactions he received from netizens.

It should be noted that this is not the first publication in which López Beltrán mentions the CEO of Tesla on his social networks. The first time was on April 6, when he also asked him to end “all the dirty war”, arguing that “this social network must be the great area of freedom of expression worldwide”.

“Now that @elonmusk has 9.4% of @Twitter's shares, hopefully pay attention, make correct decisions and end every dirty war that occurs daily. This social network should be the great space for freedom of expression worldwide. For the good of humanity,” López Beltrán wrote from his personal account,” José Ramón wrote at the time.

The statements of the eldest son of the Tabasqueño came after it was announced on April 5 that Elon Musk will be part of the board of directors of the social network, according to a document reviewed by The Verge that was sent to the United States Securities Exchange Commission. Later, Parag Agrawal, Twitter CEO, confirmed the news.

A day earlier, on April 4, Musk announced that he had taken 9.2% of the shares of the social network, causing it to skyrocket on the stock exchange.

According to CNBC, the purchase of Musk could trigger problems with the SEC (Securities Exchange Commission). The first complication occurred after the South African failed to comply with the regulations that anyone with more than 5% stake in the company must make it public within the first 10 days. The acquisition was on March 14 and the announcement made for the first time on April 4, that is 21 days later. For that action he would be fined 100 thousand dollars.

Musk bought nearly 73.5 million common Twitter shares, making him the largest shareholder in the group, ahead of the Vanguard investment fund (8.8%) and Morgan Stanley bank (8.4%), according to Bloomberg data.
