The woman stated that her son was very responsible with his work and would not want anything like that to happen

Colombia is appalled after the announcement of the death of former Colombian team striker Freddy Eusebio Rincón Valencia, 'El Colosso' of Buenaventura, after spending three days in the Imbanaco Clinic south of the capital of Valle del Cauca. Prior to his death, spoke Clara Jasmin Beltrán, the mother of the driver involved in the regrettable accident that ended the player's life, Beltrán noted that her son was not guilty, amid her sadness concern.

In an interview with the newspaper El País de Cali, the woman highlighted the strength of her son, who, in the same way, is also having a hard time, because the confusing accident left different versions in the air, which today seek to clarify. The driver was identified as Jorge Eduardo Muñoz, who is in recovery at the Vallesalud Clinic north of the Sultana del Valle.

Muñoz's mother explained that for eight months her son has been working with the Massive Integrated of the West (MIO), which is why, from that moment on, considering the risk she might run, she avoids calling him during working hours; so she waits for him to communicate directly with her, because any distractions when driving can cause an accident.

Regarding communication with her son, the woman explained: “I wait for him to call me before starting his shift, at noon or at night, because I know he is driving and I think about not causing an accident.”

The fateful incident occurred last Monday, regarding this, Clara Jasmin Beltrán, indicated that until that moment she had not spoken to her son for about four days, and surprisingly she learned about the accident in which she was involved. This, after a feeder bus collided with the van in which Rincón was moving.

As soon as she heard about the sad event, the driver's mother said: “As a mother it is a very painful thing to be called to say that, but Jorge is a very strong person, and no matter how serious the accident would have been, I knew he hadn't killed himself.”

After learning about this regrettable event, the woman was shocked, because she took on this impressive news. However, despite the seriousness of the matter, she remained calm, assuring that her son has always been strong, which is why she was confident that the worst would not happen.

One of Jorge Eduardo's dreams is to be a policeman, because the 28-year-old man, prior to entering the mass transit system in the city of Cali, performed his military service, where he forged his spirit of service to the public, which is why he dreamed of joining the police soon, however, his mother points out that this dream could fade; bearing in mind that the surgeries to which he will undergo are unlikely to receive him later in that institution.

The woman indicated that her son is positive about this regrettable event, and emphasizes that he is not guilty, although it is something that should not happen, in relation to this, she emphasized:

Carlos Fernando López, medical director of the ValleSalud clinic, gave the last part about the patient, explaining: “The patient is in good general health condition. Initially, their neurological function was evaluated due to craniocerebral trauma; a brain CT scan was performed that ruled out intracranial lesions. It was evaluated by the neurosurgery service with satisfactory neurological follow-up.”

It is important to note that the driver suffered an injury to his left knee, and a fracture in the upper left part of the tibia, where a reduction procedure was performed to align the affected bones and gradually decrease inflammation.
