The Government of Mexico City, Fundación Coppel, the Probosque de Chapultepec and the Secretariat of the Environment (Sedema) organized the Insecta Forest Festival event which will take place in the First and Second Sections of the Chapultepec Forest from April 14 to 17. The event has an educational purpose with various cultural activities; a photographic exhibition, conferences, workshops, dramatized readings, picnics, operas, catwalk, plays and webinars.

Admission to the festival is completely free and open to the public. Its main objective is to admire, learn and learn about the life of insects that inhabit Mexico City, as well as to understand the importance of these species and take care of their ecosystems. Dr. Marina Robles García, head of Sedema, mentioned at a conference at Quinta Colorada that worldwide groups of pollinators, insects and birds are at alarming risk and that is why the uniqueness, diversity and complexity of insects is being commemorated.
