The director announced that he began to write the story because of the midlife crisis. He said: “Above all I liked the idea of a character who starts in a status beyond normal, has a restaurant that is even called La Alegría, is fundamentally positive, with a wife and son he loves, and suddenly he loses his balance. How would a person act in that case?” , Loprieno raised about the film's autobiographical feature.

He also announced that each of the actors put himself in the character's shoes in an almost perfect way. “For example, Erick gave a real dimension to his and Adal, who knows comedy very well, was to see together what to do, how to enrich this,” said the filmmaker.

The cast includes: Erick Elias, Gaby Espino, Adal Ramones, Antonio Fortier, Ximena González Rubio, Sonia Couoh, Miguel Pizarro, Ricardo Zertuche, Mauro Gonzalez, Anabel Ferreira, Martha Ofelia Galindo, Silvia Mariscal, Juan Carlos Colombo, among others.
