Flor Amargo was harassed at the beginning in the music industry in Mexico

Flor Amargo is an independent Mexican artist who stood out for her enormous talent in street music, because on her social networks she shares how she expresses her feelings through this art. However, she is a singer who has faced various criticisms and difficulties throughout her career.

The performer of La Cumbia del Mosquito proved not to be afraid of the streets of CDMX since she started from below playing on sidewalks, subway cars and markets, so that people could listen to her music and her creations, which is why in an interview for the De Primermano program, the famous woman recalled how started in this musical world:

“I come from below, I don't have musician relatives, I'm here with my piano. So today I feel a lot of gratitude, more commitment to improve myself. I am, alone for this present, happy and eager”.

Likewise, the artist confirmed that throughout her professional career she has faced various adversities and one of them was being a woman, as she did not find an easy way to enter the industry, since she was the victim of harassment on several occasions:

“One from a label I remember, he lifted his shirt and started like this 'hey and since when do you dedicate yourself to music', like that with a book (he performed the act as if he were lifting a dumbbell) and talking to me, my dream was music. He was like 22 or 21,” he said.

He also stressed that he suffered attacks on his physique, since the image became really important so that he could perform his shows in front of the public: “Then I would set up my auditions and they would say 'yes but lose weight, it is that we need to put on certain costumes for you' and then I said: 'p*ta, what is it about? ', then I gave myself I have already said 'I'm going to dedicate myself to psychology, '” said the singer.

After not giving up on the difficulties presented and starting to play in the streets, the artist commented on her approach to social networks, as well as the growth in her professional career, after being questioned about:” Who is Flor Amargo? ”, she replied:

“For me, Flor Amargo is a woman who does not stop, an unattainable woman, I am an independent artist, I did myself in the streets, in the markets, in the subway. Now I'm experiencing my growth thanks to social media, Facebook, Instagram and people who suddenly connect with me so much that they cry and say 'Flower, thanks to you'.

The truth is that I am only an instrument of something divine, of a divinity that gave me a mission and that is to never give up and always show the beautiful side of life, despite the bitter side, there is always a flower,” the artist said in front of the cameras.

Finally, the singer confessed that she is very excited to be able to achieve her dreams, since she will arrive at the National Auditorium next October of this year 2022 and informed about her plans when making the Colectivo 28 productions consisting of several talented women, which she emphasized, that her main objective is to help and give opportunity to the female genre in music.

“My goal is to shake hands with women that there are so few opportunities for us in music, I wish they had held out their hand to me when I was starting out and now that is my mission, to share, after all the experiences I have had, I realized that the only thing you take from this life is what you give and in the As you give, you receive”, stressed Flor Amargo.
