Following the arrest of four members of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) and murders in Calpulalpan, Tlaxcala authorities are investigating whether Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes's criminal group, El Mencho, expanded to that entity.
Sergio González Hernández, secretary of government of the state, confirmed that the detainees belong to the faction of the so-called four letters and added that they are from the west of the country. They fell after perpetrating the attack that left two people killed and two more were injured on April 11.
“Just two deceased people are being identified that I want to tell you that they are no longer from the state, one is from Nayarit and the other from Guadalajara,” the official told local media.
According to reports, the suspects were insured after participating in the shooting at an establishment northwest of Calpulalpan, on the Mexico-Veracruz federal highway and near an economic kitchen.
In these events, a woman identified as Mirna “N” was injured, who moved by her own means to receive hospital care. While one of the executed was inside a vehicle and the other was located on the asphalt tape.
Later, the authorities reported the arrest of three from Jalisco and one more from Nayarit, who carried heavy-caliber rifles for use reserved for the Armed Forces, tactical vests and useful ammunition.
According to the Tlaxcala official, indications that confirm the interests of the CJNG in the state have yet to be clarified, although it is possible that they have only incurred to carry out the attack.
