Chihuahua became the second Mexican state to reach an agreement with the Republican Governor of Texas, Greg Abbott, to suspend immigration security measures that were affecting trade flow and supply chain.

After a meeting with Chihuahua Governor Maria Eugenia Campos, Abbott agreed to normalize border crossings for freight trucks coming from Mexico. For a few days, he ordered extraordinary inspections of each unit, in order to contain the entry of illegal migrants.
