The Australian Grand Prix did not leave many highlights to remember, as the absolute dominance of Charles Leclerc and the abandonments of Max Verstappen and Carlos Sainz left the spotlight on two old acquaintances: Checo Pérez and Lewis Hamilton, who from the start of the race fought for a position.
Despite the fact that the final result was an unobjectionable victory for RB18 for Sergio, who finished in second place, during the competition he was behind Hamilton due to various circumstances that forced him to work hard to regain his place, something that has been remembered by Formula 1 throughout the week.
In addition to applauding Perez's work with the slogan of “Good job, Checo! ”, on this occasion the organization gathered part of its audiovisual wealth and shared a series of interactive videos with 360-degree shots, so that the user can maneuver with the shot, both in Checo's car and in Hamilton's, on that overrun from the outside.
“Now you can take a 360-degree interactive look at one of the key moments of their battle, as you switch between those aboard Hamilton and Perez,” the official Formula 1 website described to show off the video.
The video can be found through this F1 link, where it is possible to select the camera of Lewis Hamilton or Checo Pérez, which is placed in the front of the car, while in a small external box you can see the official transmission to follow the moment of the advance in a general overview.
The moment follows since the English rider entered the pits to change his tires and undercut Perez, so it is possible to see the change of wheels also from the 360-degree perspective, something especially attractive due to the position of the camera.
Two of the most outstanding overshoots of the weekend were given by Perez, who despite being overtaken at the start for not harming Verstappen, quickly recovered and managed to overcome Hamilton in nine laps.
Later, after pitting and receiving Lewis's undercut, on lap 22 he offered the new great maneuver over the seven-time world champion, something he repeated until lap 35 over George Russell's other Mercedes, at which point he regained lost positions for another bad time to stop in the pits, because a new safety car caused him to lose some places in the middle of the race.
This is how the Checo Pérez Fan Club experienced it in CDMX:
This moment was experienced in a very special way in Mexico, as a fan club in the capital gathered more than 200 people to see their podium in the Australian GP, an unprecedented event close to the world of motorsport and a sign of the Czechomania that shakes Mexico, especially after its arrival in Red Bull.
The fight against Lewis Hamilton starred in the most joyous moments at the show, where fans were satisfied with the Mexican's performance, because despite not winning and seeing Verstappen's abandonment, Checo Pérez's second place in Australia confirmed that he will fight for the Drivers' Championship.
