After the first part available on the platform since January, in addition to anticipating the second half and end of the fourth season, Netflix released a new video where its protagonists say goodbye to one of the sets. While the series returns on April 29, the main actors were in a special 30-minute interview that revealed their feelings.
The special serves as an off-camera retrospective on the making of the series. From the origin of the idea to the minor details of the characters, from the magic of film technicians to the anecdotes of five years; the special aims to be the best farewell for fans of this crime fiction.
The Byrde House is a modest resort in front of Lake Ozarks, inspired by the summer cottages of Alhonna and Marina. On that dock, the creator of the series, Dubuque worked in the eighties while going to school: “The Byrde House is perhaps one of my favorite locations. All the plot points end up going through it”, you hear in the video. He also added: “The Byrde house was a central location. He became just another character.”
Several of the expressions issued by the renowned actors are available in this emotional video. Among them were Jason Bateman (Martin Byrde), Laura Linney (Wendy Byrde), Sofia Hublitz (Charlotte Byrde) and Skylar Gaertner (Jonah Byrde). No doubt, the cast will miss the view and landscape that the Byrde house gave them.
Created by Bill Dubuque and Mark Williams, Ozark is a drama set today and follows the journey of the Byrde family from their seemingly normal life to the suburbs of Chicago and the creation of their own money laundering circuit. The series explores capitalism, the ever-imploding family dynamics and the survival of a group of people considered outsiders or outside the system.
It should be remembered that Ozark premiered its first season on July 21, 2017 with 10 episodes. The second one on August 31, 2018, in the same way with 10 chapters. Its third season on March 27, 2020 and the fourth (first part), on January 21, 2022. In addition to receiving several nominations for the Emmy Awards, including two for Best Drama Series (32 in total), the fiction has the approval of the public and specialized critics.
Ozark will release the last batch of episodes on April 29 on Netflix.
