A moment of uncertainty lived the professional staff of Alianza Lima in Chile. The plane that was going to take them back to Lima could not take off due to the air traffic controllers strike in Peru. All this one day after an important match against Colo Colo in the group stage of the 2022 Copa Libertadores.

This morning we all woke up to regrettable news from domestic airports. Thousands of passengers were stranded by the cancellation of their flights, something that also affected the arrival of aircraft from abroad, as in the case of players and coaching staff of the 'blue and white' team.

Alianza Lima was at the airfield in Iquique from early on to leave for Lima after his international participation. However, the plane could not clear and they had to wait a couple of hours, until everything was restored, to leave Chile.

Air traffic controllers and Corpac board reached an agreement and flights were reactivated. In any case, tourists and citizens were harmed, especially because it is a special date for Peruvians: Holy Week.

As reported by Ana Lucía Rodríguez, a journalist for GOLPERU, Alianza Lima planned to arrive in the capital in 1 hour, but due to air traffic it will only do so in 3 hours. Undoubtedly, an uncomfortable situation for many passengers.
