The administrator of the common pot Fe y Esperanza of Villa María del Triunfo, Maricruz Estrella, expressed her indignation in an interview with RPP news by the statements by parliamentarian Alejandro Soto, of the Alliance for Progress party, who assured that his salary is' barely '10,200 soles.
“How ignorant that congressman is really ignorant. I don't know if he's studied or not studied to be a congressman. That amount would feed us for more than three years,” he said in a dialogue with RPP Noticias. “We don't even have the basic salary. With the price hike, in one day, I had my son spend 50 soles. If this pot didn't exist, what would we eat?” , added the woman.
In addition, he said he felt the consequences of the price hike. “I'll be a congressman, but I don't make a million. We only earn 10,200 soles, because the gross salary is S/15,600″, he said.
COMMON POTS IN EMERGENCY
The common pot Fe y Esperanza is one of those affected by the rise in prices of the basic basket, to the point that for some time now beef, chicken or fish have not been used to prepare food.
“We don't have the support of anyone, neither the Municipality (VMT) nor the Government, nor by Mr. Pedro Castillo, who mentioned so much that he was going to help the common pots and to this day we are waiting for him to support us,” he said.
The mothers of this common pot cook on wood, since they cannot afford the average 68 soles that a gas balloon costs. “What we do now is a miracle with this pot. Now we are surviving thanks to donors, who have been helping us with their grain of sand,” he emphasized.

Another rule is that local governments, the Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion (Midis) and others, can make budgetary modifications, if necessary and allocate resources to fully or partially finance the purchase and distribution of food intended for ordinary pots in serious circumstances affecting the life of the nation.
With regard to the nutritional aspects of food in common pots, the Ministry of Health (Minsa) will be responsible for approving the documents technicians for guidance on these aspects in preparing food in popular canteens in emergencies.
Faced with this, the president of the network of common pots in Metropolitan Lima demanded that the president implement the regulation that guarantees the financing of these community services.
