The Attorney General's Office of Mexico City (FGJCDMX) reported the arrest of a man for his alleged responsibility in the attempted femicide that occurred in 2017.
In a statement, the Prosecutor's Office reported that after field and cabinet work carried out by FGJCDMX staff, they allowed to fill out an arrest warrant against the suspect for his probable involvement in the crime of attempted aggravated femicide, which occurred in 2017.
According to the information of the Prosecutor's Office, the subject allegedly assaulted the victim causing life-threatening injuries. It is believed that the detainee assaulted a woman, his romantic partner, with a glass bottle hitting him on the head.
After the aggression he left the scene, which the victim took advantage of to warn for help. This was carried out inside a house located in the Cuautepec neighborhood of Barrio Alto Arboledas, Gustavo A. Madero mayor's office.
After the investigations, the authorities learned that the subject was related to another research folder previously carried out for family violence.
This individual was detained in the North Men's Preventive Prison, so agents of the Investigative Police (PDI) attached to the Coordination of Compliance and Execution of Judicial Orders, moved to complete the court order.
Once his identity was confirmed, the detectives informed him of his constitutional rights and took him before the judge who requested him inside the Prison.
Finally, FGJCDMX reiterated that one of its priorities is to treat victims with a gender perspective, a differential and specialized approach, as well as ensuring a new way of investigating crimes, with special emphasis on justice towards women.
And he recalled in his statement that the person mentioned is presumed innocent and will be treated as such at all stages of the proceedings, as long as his responsibility is not declared by a judgment issued by the court, in the terms indicated in the National Code of Criminal Procedure.

The young woman lost her life on the afternoon of Friday, April 8, when she left the Vidal Castañeda y Nájera High School of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) for a bar located in the Doctores neighborhood.
Later, Gerardo Partida, the victim's uncle, said that his niece had been drugged and killed during last Friday's celebration. She also indicated that she was not the only one who was drugged, since some of her friends went through the same situation, although they are recovering.
On the other hand, in recent days the state of Nuevo León has been hit by a wave of disappearances of women that have left regiomontana society speechless.
Among them was the tragic femicide of the young Maria Fernanda Contreras whose body was found on April 7 in the Exhacienda de Santa Rosa neighborhood, in Apodaca. The young woman had graduated and was looking for a job, so she went to an interview.
