#1: Tokyo Vice

The new HBO Max original series is a look at the criminal underworld of 90s Japan. It is based on the memoir of the same name by investigative journalist Jake Adelstein. The story recreates his unique experiences as being the first journalist of non-Japanese origin to get a job in one of Japan's most important newspapers, Yomiuri Shimbun.

It is inspired by real events and stars Ansel Elgort, as journalist Jake Adelstein, and Ken Watanabe as a Japanese detective. Michael Mann, the renowned director who participated in the creation of Miami Viceb in the 1980s and directed the 2006 film with Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx, is an executive producer of the series and directed the first episode. The first three episodes of Tokyo Vice were released on April 7, and two more episodes will be joined every Thursday until the end on April 28.

#2: Cacería

This production tells the story of, when her husband disappears, a mother who lives deep in the Canadian forest must protect her son from a wolf, but even greater dangers could lie in wait for them.

Among its cast are: Camille Sullivan, Summer H. Howell, Devon Sawa, Nick Stahl, Gabriel Daniels, Lauren Cochrane.

#3: Two and a Half Men

Two and a Half Men is an American sitcom that has 12 seasons. It starred until the eighth grade by Charlie Sheen, Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones, and in the last four seasons Cryer, Ashton Kutcher and Angus T. Jones. The series has won several awards and is recognized as one of the most watched sitcoms in the world.

This fiction focuses on Charlie Harper, an alcoholic bachelor and womanizer who lives a life of luxury in Malibu and who is a successful composer of musicals and jingles for television commercials. His lifestyle changes radically when his younger brother Alan divorces and goes to live with him. Alan is in financial trouble because of his divorce and is a very insecure person. Although he is a chiropractor by profession, he is very lonely, and he receives visits from his son Jake every weekend. Deep down Charlie is happy that Alan and Jake are at home, although sometimes these two cause him some problems.

#4: Lakers: Time to Win

Lakers is a look at the glitz and glamour of Los Angeles of the 1980s, and the rise of the NBA Lakers, Jerry Buss and Magic Johnson.

Lakers: Time to Win is a series created by Max Borenstein and Jim Hecht for HBO. It is based on the book Showtime: Magic, Kareem, Riley, and the Los Angeles Lakers Dynasty of the 1980s by Jeff Pearlman. The series premiered on March 6, 2022 through HBO.

#5: Ninis

5 friends, neither so young, nor so adult, living under the same roof, who neither study nor work, but try to find meaning in their lives and forge their future. (HBO Max)

Ninis is HBO Max's new Mexican comedy about five twenty-somethings and their attempts to get ahead in a race against the clock into adulthood. This quintet will have to face situations as comical but common for many young people on the way to young adulthood, such as: paying rent, starting failed businesses, living as freelancers or finishing their thesis; while falling in love and dealing with real personal relationships. The series has been available on the platform since April 7.
