“The Imbanaco Grupo Quirónsalud Clinic allows us to inform you that patient Freddy Eusebio Rincón Valencia is still in our Intensive Care Unit where he is receiving care by an interdisciplinary group of professionals, after surgery for severe craniocerebral trauma.

After this type of procedure it is prudent to monitor the patient's progress, so the medical staff has decided to carry out some additional studies on his brain to determine the steps to follow. At the moment, the patient continues with advanced support measures and his prognosis has not changed.

At the moment, the accident is still in the area of investigation by the Cali traffic authorities who are trying to clarify what could have happened in the clash in which the former player of the Colombian national team involved against a MÍO Cali bus in the early hours of April 11.

The mayor of Cali, Jorge Iván Ospina, spoke on Monday where he released new details about the accident in which Freddy Rincón was involved.
