“The Batman”: the batmobile will arrive in CDMX. These are the times and places to see it

HBO Max will set up a Knight of the Night exhibition where people will be able to take pictures in the iconic batmobile of the most recent installment directed by Matt Reeves

Mexico City will be transformed into Gotham City during this Easter holiday period. As a result of the release of The Batman on HBO Max, the digital platform will install an exhibition of the film where fans of the batman can take photos in his iconic batmobile.

Admission will be free, but attendees will have to train in advance as there will be limited capacity. According to what was published by HBO Max Latin America, each group will have a maximum capacity of 15 people and all must wear the mask throughout the event as a health measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The exhibition will be installed in the Roma Norte neighborhood, border street number 88, Cuauhtémoc mayor's office and will be open to the public from Thursday, April 14 until Tuesday 26, at 12:00pm.

There will be no age limit and no prior document or registration is required. For 12 days, fans of DC Comics and the Night Knight will be able to take part in this experience. It is worth mentioning that the premiere of The Batman on the HBO Max platform will be next Monday, April 18.

The exhibition will be located one block from the Pushkin Garden. The alternatives to get there by public transport are as follows. If you use the Collective Transportation System (STC) Metro, the nearest stations are Niños Heroes (Line 3) and Cuauhtémoc (Line 1), although the latter is further away (approximately 750 meters).

In the first case, you will have to walk on Dr. Velasco Street until you reach the Pushkin Garden. Go two blocks on Álvaro Obregon Avenue and then turn into Frontera Street. Cross two blocks until you reach the intersection with Colima Street.

If you opt for the second option (Cuauhtémoc metro) you will have to walk on Chapultepec Avenue towards the Glorieta de los Insurgentes until you reach Frontera Street. Then turn left and proceed three blocks until you reach the intersection with Colima Street.

However, the closest option is the “Pushkin Garden” station on Metrobus Line 3, which is less than a five-minute walk away (approximately 350 meters). All you have to do is walk along Avenida Colima until you reach Frontera Street (there are two streets).

This new installment of the Night Knight was directed by Matt Reeves. So far, it has grossed more than $598 million worldwide since it was released in early March, making it the second highest grossing film since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic (the first being Spider-Man: No Way Home).

The film stars Robert Pattinson, being the eighth actor to bring Bruce Wayne to life on the big screen. The other actors are: Lewis G. Wilson, Robert Lowery, Adam West, Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, George Clooney, Christian Bale and Ben Affleck. In addition, more than 10 Batman films have been made in live-action.

According to Matt Reeves, this version of the batmobile is inspired by Stephen King's novel Christine, which is about a car that is apparently possessed by supernatural forces. In 1983, John Carpenter brought it to the big screen.

According to the designer of The Batman production, James Chinlund, special effects supervisor Dominic Tuohy used a 627-horsepower Chevy V8 engine to build the batmobile.

Finally, it is worth mentioning that the batmobile has also made stops in Paris, France, where Brazilian footballer Neymar Jr. took the opportunity to get on and take pictures with the film's protagonists.
