The businessman is president of TV Azteca, a television station he founded in 1993, after the sale of the government channel Instituto Mexicano de la Televisión (IMEVISION). The businessman led a group of investors with which it was possible to acquire two national television channels and that, under his leadership, managed to end the television monopoly in Mexico, to consolidate itself as the second largest producer of Spanish-language content in the world.
