Prosecutor's Office releases young people who attempted the lives of two American fans in Bogotá

Arguing alleged flaws in its identification process, the Colombian justice released the four men who reportedly kicked and kicked two American supporters from Cali with a knife in the vicinity of the Metropolitano de Techo Stadium and the Plaza de las Américas shopping center, southwest of Bogotá.

The violent assault, which was recorded by several security cameras in the area known as 'Cuadra Picha', occurred at 2:00 a.m. in the morning of Monday, April 11 on a platform in the popular entertainment sector of the town of Kennedy.

For more than a minute it became clear how four young people, who would be followers of Millonarios, violently attacked the humanities of a couple of fans from America de Cali who were prowling the area and had no way to defend themselves against the assassination attempt they suffered.

Thus, the relatives of one of the injured young men questioned the attention given to this case and the decision of the Attorney General's Office not to deprive them of their liberty in a detention center in the Colombian capital.

The Prosecutor's Office indicated that the injuries did not compromise vital organs and there is no firm complaint about what happened, since it is not clear to the entity that the captured had stolen or identified them, so they assure that there would be no elements to hold a hearing.

In official statements to the microphones of the Blu Radio station, the loved ones of one of the barristas who almost lost his life at the beginning of Easter 2022, expressed their resounding rejection of what they consider to be an immense failure of Colombian justice. This is how the mother of one of the victims in question made him feel:

The attacked young man, who was identified as Hannibal, continues to be hospitalized in a medical center in the city, while his relatives say that he did not lose his life thanks to the timely work of doctors at the hospital to which both followers of the Red Devils managed to be transferred.

Fortunately for those attacked, the stab wounds failed to compromise their vital organs. However, in the following days, the investigators in charge hope to deliver all the material evidence to identify all those involved in the absurd and inconceivable beating, in which their belongings were also stolen.

One of those affected must undergo a reconstruction of his face and hands, due to the multiple stabs, kicks and fists he received until he was unconscious on the sidewalk where the crime was executed.

The main hypothesis that the authorities maintain is that these American fans were attacked after leaving a meeting in a bar located on Avenida Primero de Mayo, with a connection from east to west in the south.

Six suspected Millonarios supporters reportedly attacked them with sticks, kicks and bladed weapons, awakened alerts from those responsible for the private security of the bars in the area, as well as more witnesses who stopped the aggression and tried to separate them from the victims when they lay wounded and unarmed on the ground.
