The term “expropriate” has accompanied the presidential campaigns of the candidate of the Historical Pact, Gustavo Petro. Now, that verb was used by the aspirant's daughter-in-law to tell her followers that she will marry Nicolás Petro, one of the sons of the fellow leader of Human Colombia.

Through her Twitter account, Days Vasquez, the today fiancée of Nicolás, assured that he “expropriated his heart” and asked him to marry. The announcement comes in the middle of the presidential campaign in which Petro Jr. has been very active in getting votes for his father in the Atlantic, where he is a deputy.

Vasquez showed on his profile on that social network, where he has more than 3,000 followers, the way in which candidate Petro's firstborn son asked for his hand in marriage. In the images, Nicholas is seen on his knees while he puts a ring on the woman who stole his heart.

In addition, in other parts of the filming, the lawyer is also seen with heart-shaped balloons and a table full of romantic decorations that enlivened the young politician's engagement with his girlfriend several years ago.

“A Petro expropriated my heart. Yes, and a thousand times yes,” said Days with the publication that, in just a few hours, already has more than 5,000 likes and hundreds of comments in celebration of the engagement of the eldest son of Gustavo Petro and Katia Burgos, the ex-wife of the presidential candidate.

The reactions of netizens were not long in coming and they did not hesitate to congratulate the Atlantic politician on the announcement of his wedding. “Congratulations to both of you! If it is because of the same cut of the father (that good person) you are earned for a lifetime”, “be careful with that little hand, do not forget that the father expropriated his heart like four”, were some of the comments of the followers of the happy couple.

It should be noted that Nicolás Petro, 32, is a graduate of the law school of the Pontifical Bolivarian University. In addition, years ago, he traveled to Barcelona, in Spain, where he took a master's degree in Climate Change; years later, he followed in the footsteps of his father and got into politics, where he currently holds a seat as a deputy in northern Colombia.

Nicolás, for his part, retweeted the video of his fiancée on his Twitter account, but did not issue any pronouncement. For now, Gustavo Petro has not commented on the marriage of his son, which is unknown whether it will be held before the first presidential flight, in which the former mayor of Bogotá will fight for the third time to arrive at the Casa de Nariño.

For now, the campaign of the postulant of the Historical Pact is progressing, which has been marked by some controversies, such as the one that was fanned this Tuesday, April 12, when his brother, Juan Fernando Petro, was registered during a visit to prisoner Ivan Moreno at La Picota Prison, south of Bogotá.

Gustavo Petro gave an interview to W Radio from Sincelejo (Sucre), where he attended an event that had been organized for women and Verónica Alcócer, his wife, and Francia Márquez, his vice-presidential formula, were invited. One of the journalists asked him about Juan Fernando's visit to the prison.

Without a glimmer of nerves, Petro replied that his brother went to visit Iván Moreno, former mayor of Bucaramanga and former congressman convicted in the hiring carousel case, as well as one of the natural heirs of the flags of the National Popular Alliance — the party of Gustavo Rojas Pinilla, his grandfather, whose defeat in the presidential election of 1970 caused the formation of the M-19 guerrilla, which Petro formed.
