The rumors around Kalimba and alleged disagreements with the members of OV7, a band of which he was part are something known to Mexicans. Thus, although the singers have come out on several occasions to give their stance on this matter, this time the singer from Tocando Fondo delved a little deeper into the situation and pointed out that the artists have remained united despite the differences.

It was during an interview with Ventaneando that the interpreter pointed out that the members of OV7 have always been like part of his family.

“The truth, the truth is that we are brothers, that we do have difficult situations, brothers and families have them. It's true, nobody gets along all the time, it's a natural thing, but hence the fact that there is no affection, that we don't love each other, that we don't love going on stage together, it's a lie, we love it,” he said.

And it is that the reunion of the musical group that has hits such as Shabadabada, Vuela Más Alto or Look Me in the Eye is close to meet again on the occasion of the commemoration of the 30th anniversary of his career.

“To feel nostalgia, love, affection, energy, adrenaline again; that exists. See me right now, as I'm narrating it, I'm narrating it with emotion, I think the reality, the truth, is that we love each other very much and we're going to do it on stage full of love, full of energy, full of discipline, professionalism and delighted to be able to live, now, our anniversary,” said Kalimba.

Regarding the conflicts that have been attributed to them around the years, the interpreter mentioned that they had not even been so relevant and, even, despite them, the members of OV7 always have been with him.

Kalimba pointed out that he is currently participating in the Kumbia Machine Tour and in the rehearsals for the return of OV7.

It should be remembered that OV7 is one of the most important Mexican pop bands in the history of genre and popular culture. In 2020, his celebratory tour was going to take place through his thirty-year career, but some time later the scandals and problems put everything into question.

Now not only has it been confirmed that the project continues, despite all odds, and even one of its members shared to all the fans, through her official Instagram account, that they are already conducting rehearsals prior to the first show, which will be in September in Monterrey.

So far, the real reasons why he almost broke up and definitively cancelled the tour that is currently in development are unknown. However, Erika Zaba held a talk earlier this year with the Al Aire Members program, where she admitted that there were several conflicts within OV7 and that there was even a time when the situation seemed untenable.
