Il Divo will return to our country to give a concert as part of its tour called “For Once in My Life Tour” that continues as “Greatest Hits Tour”, which has Mexican American baritone Steven LaBrie as a special guest. It should be noted that American David Miller, Frenchman Sebastien Izambard and Swiss Urs Buhler will pay tribute to their late member Carlos Marín.
As you remember, the 53-year-old singer died on Sunday, December 19, 2021 after suffering a severe infection caused by COVID-19.
“Carlos was a larger personality than life, with a rare combination of an incredibly beautiful divine voice and an absolutely immense talent. His passion, joy and sense of humor made him such a magical person, and his laughter would always lift anyone's spirits,” the Il Divo singers said in a statement.
“He was loved by millions of fans around the world and we were lucky and honored to be able to perform with him for so many years. We will deeply miss his joy, friendship and bright voice. In his honor, we will create a Carlos Marín Foundation and pay tribute to his singing in our next shows. May everyone remember him for his beautiful soul, his incredible talent and may he rest in peace forever,” said Miller, Izambard and Buhle, who have been quite affected by this sad game.

Il Divo's concert will be on Saturday, May 21 at Arena Perú - Explanada and they will provide the best of their repertoire for this occasion, accompanied by an incredible stage production.

Tickets to see Il Divo will be available on Teleticket from Thursday, April 21.
The tour supports their tenth studio album, “For Once In My Life: A Celebration Of Motown (Decca Gold)”, available now, as well as the Carlos Marín Foundation.

WHAT DID CARLOS MARÍN DIE OF?
Carlos Marín remained since December 8, 2021 in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Manchester Royal Hospital in the United Kingdom where he was intubated and in an induced coma after having tested positive for coronavirus and presenting symptoms.
“Our dear friend and colleague, Carlos, is in the hospital. We hope and pray for a speedy recovery”, was the tweet that the British band wrote at the time.
However, he could not win the battle and died on December 19. Days before his death, Marín's agent said: “His ex-wife Geraldine Larrosa is with him in the hospital because even though they separated 12 years ago they are still great friends.” Let's remember that Marín had a 17-year relationship with singer Geraldine Larrosa until they divorced in February 2009 in a mutual and amicable way.
Through their official social network, the group communicated the sad news, leaving their fans heartbroken. “It is with great regret that we let you know that our friend and partner Carlos Marín has passed away. His friends, family and fans will miss him. There will never be another voice or spirit like Carlos, “points out the tweet that the opera group reported.
