The government of Mexico City announced through a bulletin from the Secretary of the Environment (Sedema) that night picnics are returning to Chapultepec. So you can start preparing your basket, tablecloth and food. The event will be held on Tuesday 12th, Wednesday 13th, Thursday 14th and Saturday 16th April, from 8 pm to 11 pm. The event offers the option of buying a basket for two people, which includes a tablecloth, bottle of red wine, plastic glasses, candles, chapatas, apples and chocolates.
The exact location is the Botanical Garden of the First Section of the Chapultepec Forest on Paseo de la Reforma Avenue 126. Admission will be free and it is recommended to arrive early because space is limited. La Sedema invites families to enjoy this experience and at the same time take care of the place, avoiding the use of single-use or unicel plastics, so it suggests bringing reusable containers, all of this with the aim of promoting environmental protection.
The experience offers a night outdoors around various species of plants such as succulents, agaves, cacti, arboretum, wild dahlias and pollinating plants. This activity is open to all audiences, including children of all ages.
