During noon on Wednesday, April 13, the pilot of a DC3 plane of the Colombian National Police got the shock of his life. When it landed at the Vanguardia Airport in Villavicencio (Meta), a gust of wind caused the aircraft to leave the runway and one of its wings collide with a tree.

Thanks to the pilot's great ability to accommodate the derailed aircraft, none of his crew lost their lives in the accident and the uniformed personnel on board were not seriously injured. However, the crew is being assessed for more serious injuries in health centers.
