This time, we continue to give you more options on Netflix, if you are looking for a suspense quota to marathon. This Friday arrives on the platform Anatomy of a Scandal, a series about consent and sexual privilege set in London. It is based on the hit novel “Anatomy of a Scandal” by Sarah Vaughan.

The film is a psychological thriller and a gripping judicial drama. The series infiltrates the British elite through a personal and political scandal, in which truth lies between justice and privilege.

About the story

James and Sophie Whitehouse live in a blissful and rarefied world. A Minister in Parliament, a loving family at home, James' trajectory seems to have no limits. Until a scandalous secret suddenly comes to light. Attorney Kate Woodcroft has a trajectory of her own, and her accusation threatens to tear Westminster, the Whitehouse marriage and her own personal esteem. While the accusation that comes to Whitehouse generates a personal uproar and reveals hidden details of her private life, Sophie trusts her husband's innocence and struggles to cleanse his reputation. Meanwhile, an ambitious and intelligent prosecutor is convinced of the minister's guilt and all she seeks is for him to pay for his actions.

The point? An overly recurring theme in our society: an accusation of rape by one of its employees. In itself, the series emphasizes the importance of consent to sexual relations.
