A faithful dog took care of his master's drunkenness in Ubaté, Cundinamarca

A cute video that has gone viral on social media is proving that the famous phrase 'the dog is man's best friend' is true. This is a situation that some uniformed men witnessed in the streets of the municipality of Ubaté, in Cundinamarca, when they found a man under the influence of alcohol sleeping on the street.

The story was revealed by Gabriel Guerrero, one of the uniformed men of the municipality who found the man sleeping in front of what was apparently his house, since his keys were on the door, but before his state he had not been able to open the door.

“Last night while we were patrolling the streets of the municipality of Ubaté Cundinamarca, we noticed a citizen lying on public roads, in principle we thought he might be injured, but when we checked in detail we showed that he had fallen asleep in front of his place of residence, as a result of alcohol intake”, began to relate the uniformed man on his Facebook profile.

Guerrero pointed out that the man was accompanied by a little black dog, who did not let the officers near his owner. According to the account of the uniformed man, it was 3 o'clock in the morning, when the cold in this municipality of Cundinamarca invaded the streets; despite this, the canine remained close to his master, taking care of him from all danger.

It was more than 15 minutes in which the uniformed men were trying to lift the man; however, the dog was always on the defensive and close to the man lying on the platform did not notice the presence of the uniformed. There were keys on the door of the house; however, the officers could not open it either.

After a while knocking on the door, a woman opened the door of the house, pointing out that indeed the man who was outside lived there. The woman called him by name, Camilo; however, he still didn't get up.

The uniformed Guerrero stressed that “this beautiful and loyal dog landed on him to protect him from the cold that at 3:30 in the morning he was in the municipality”; then he added that when the woman opened the door of the house “the happiness of the canine was evident by the movement of his tail and his restless movements of joy, without doubts an immense show of loyalty to man's best friend.”

In the comments of the post made by the patrolman, users of the social network applauded the faithful animal and condemned those who mistreat them. “And to think that there are people who abandon them and mistreat them, they are just love and care”; “The drink does their duty, congratulations to our policemen they are always there to help and the furry, always they are so innocent and loyal God bless them”; “Good for the cops who were there, and better yet, for the beautiful four-legged friend ”, were some of the comments.
