The fans of Talleres had a hard time in the preview of the match corresponding to the second date Group H of the Copa Libertadores. It is that several supporters gathered on Copacabana beach to have a barbecue before leaving for Maracana, where the T would lose its second international engagement against Flamengo.

Images that went viral on social media show a local policeman trying to persuade Argentine fans on the grounds of the ban on setting fire in the place. These were moments of tension and fear, given that the authority drew its weapon with the desire to intimidate the people of Córdoba. “Put the gun down, put the gun down,” one of those present was heard shouting, as he watched the officer point his revolver at the small group of fans.

Far from fulfilling the desperate request of the supporters, the officer triggered and fired into the arena, which generated greater confusion and fear. The scene continued with insults and confusion until another policeman intervened to ask his colleague for peace of mind, and both left the scene after using abuse of authority. The incidents were diluted when the troops left the area, where there were no injuries.

In terms of sports, Talleres de Córdoba left a good image in Brazil, although it was beaten by 3 to 1 by Flamengo, who took advantage of the chances he had. Gabriel Barboza, from penalty, and Everton Ribeiro, twice, scored the goals for the local, while Hector Fertoli scored the discount for the albiazules.

More than 2,000 Cordoba fans accompanied La T at the legendary Maracaná stadium and encouraged until the last minute recognizing the efforts of the players led by Portuguese Pedro Caixinha. At the other crossing of the zone, Universidad Católica de Chile won the home match against Sporting Cristal of Peru, 2-1, with an agonizing goal by Argentinian Fernando Zampedri, in the match that opened the score for Andeans Marcelino Núñez and Nilson Loyola had scored the transitional draw for the Incan people.

The action of Group H will continue on Tuesday 26 when Talleres hosts Sporting Cristal and Flamengo visits Universidad Católica. The positions were now headed by Flamengo, with six points, followed by Talleres and Universidad Católica (3) and Sporting Cristal closes without units.
