In recent hours, Shakira has been trending on social media, this before a strange character who appeared in the cover images of her videos. Her fans are considering different theories and possibilities about what this can mean; however, the Barranquilla artist is known for surprising.
The character is a white robot that, for now, only appears on the covers of the official video clips of some of the Colombian songs. At first, it was thought that the artist had hacked into her YouTube channel on social networks; however, the option was ruled out because her videos are still playing normally and nothing strange has been published.
This robot has taken over the YouTube channel regardless of the time, that is, it appears in videos that were published more than a decade ago, but it is not in everyone. For now, there are six videos intervened and fans are wondering what they all have in common.
One of the most recent releases of barranquillera was intervened by the character, it is 'Girl Like Me', a song she performs with Black Eyed Peas and, in fact, is published on the American group's channel.
Videos 'She Wolf'; 'Whenever, Wherever'; 'Hips Don't Lie' and 'Perro Fiel' were affected, as was the success of the 2014 World Cup presented by Colombia's 'Waka Waka'.
One of the options that has the best impact on Shakira's fans is that the Colombian is preparing a new musical work that would have a futuristic style or even talk about the Colombian's foray into electronic music.
“The Shakira videos with robots in the back. What is it that God is giving us clues of his new music? will it be some choreography with rauw Alejandro? will be hacking. Help”; “Does anyone know what those robots that are seen in the background in some of the thumbnails of Shakira's videos mean?” ; are some of the questions in networks. On the other hand, there are those who applaud the strategy of the artist and her team to be noticed, since this has increased the reproduction of videos that have been published for more than 10 years.
It should be remembered that the 'Shakifans', as the barranquillera fans have been called, have been waiting for a new album by the artist for five years and many hope that this movement on the part of the artist will mean that the arrival of her 12th album is approaching.
This, if it arrives, would be the one that would follow 'El Dorado', the last album that Shakira released and that came out in 2017. His latest work includes such famous songs as 'Me enamoré', 'Blackmail', 'Perro Fiel' and 'La Bicicleta'.
Despite the confusion, the intervention of a famous account in this trend already indicates a possible collaboration of the Colombian artist. This is Netflix's official Twitter account in Latin America, from where they made a comment about what has happened to the singer's videos.
“Shakira's robot listening to 'Anthology'”, they published on the account adding an image of the recent animated film released on the streaming platform 'The Mitchell Family vs. the Machines'. The image shows a robot that, although it is not exactly the same, has several similarities with the one that now appears in the videos of the Colombian woman.
With this trill, although it may simply be that Netflix took advantage of Shakira's trend to promote her new film, many followers talk about the Colombian's possible collaboration with the streaming platform. For now, there is talk of an official song from the film or, even, a documentary about the life of barranquillera.
For now, Shakira has stayed away from social media since these strange movements began in her videos, which has left her millions of followers more confused.
