It should be remembered that this is not the first ash emission to be emitted by the Nevado del Ruiz volcano so far in 2022. At the end of last March, the Government of Risaralda warned that, due to seismic activity that occurred inside the geological structure, ash fall would occur in the municipalities of Santa Rosa, Pereira and Dosquebradas.
Following the warning, the Government of Risaralda asked its inhabitants to implement the following four actions in order to avoid any type of emergency, in the event of seismic activity or ash emission at the volcano:
1. Know the evacuation indications and identify the meeting points.
2. Participate in drills.
3. Get your emergency suitcase ready.
4. Make a community emergency plan.
