The Colombia women's team finally saw the triumph and consolidated themselves as the leader of their group at the 2022 South American Women's Under-20 Championship, held in La Calera, Chile.

On the afternoon of this Tuesday, April 12, the players of the tricolor team beat the Peruvian team 5-0 and on the date three of all against all of group A in the competition organized by Conmebol.

The tricolor competitors sealed an even debut against Argentina on April 8 and came from matching 1-1 against Venezuela on date 2 of the tournament.

The team coached by Carlos Paniagua was solid in attack, converted all the necessary goals to add the goal difference into the criteria and thus get one foot into the final home run of the tournament that grants two direct spots to this year's U-20 Women's World Cup in Costa Rica.

Colombia knew how to take advantage of and settle every mistake in the Inca team's departure, never suffered danger plays against it during the 90′ regulations and broke every opportunity thanks to the impeccable definitions recorded by Gabriela Rodríguez (6′), Gisela Robledo (22′), María Camila Reyes (33′), Kelly Caicedo (58′) and Mariana Muñoz (66′).
