The Congresswoman of Fuerza Popular Tania Ramírez has become popular not precisely because of her work in parliament. Since the morning of April 11, her name was the protagonist of praise and criticism after a Tik Tok video starring her realization that she was recorded in the Mariátegui room of the Congress of the Republic. Several users were surprised to see that the congresswoman was devoting her time to this type of activity while the country is going through a crisis that has affected several Peruvian families.

Ramírez said that after the signing of the law that will allow the payment of 100% compensation for time of service (CTS) to teachers, he decided to retire and take refuge in the Mariátegui room, a space where parliamentarians would go to take a break. “I used that moment to make a Tik Tok and I looked for that song because it inspires me to be a warrior, a fighter and to go forward. I did it with this tenor and joy,” said Congresswoman Fujimorista on RPP Noticias.

The protagonist of the commented Tik Tok revealed that she likes to dance and that she has done so on other occasions while fulfilling her parliamentary duties. He pointed out that he did it during his visits during the weeks of representation and did not rule out the repetition of it “as long as I do not assault, hurt, or violate any right of a human being”. When asked if she would re-record a video such as the one she was criticized for in the Mariátegui Chamber or Hall, Ramírez responded with a resounding “Sure! As long as it's not something that attacks someone else, why should I limit myself?”

Tania Ramírez did not rule out continuing to produce audiovisual material, she even pointed out the possibility of recording “what is the day of a congressman so that people know what we do”. For his part, he believes that the video in question has managed to provide a message to young people in Peru. “I feel and believe that I have not committed any crime, I have not insulted anyone, rather I have left a message to the youth that we cannot be frustrated and we cannot stay, we have to move forward. We are warriors, fighters and forward. We can't turn off right now,” he added.

CONGRESSIONAL ANECDOTE

During the interview with RPP, the interviewer asked Congresswoman Ramírez about the bills she is the author and co-author of and referred to one involving the archaeological site of Cabeza de Vaca. However, the parliamentarian stated that she was not aware of her participation in the project. “There's a mistake there” was what he said at first.

This is the bill that promotes the conservation, research, enhancement, teaching and dissemination of the monumental archaeological site of Cabeza de Vaca located in the Corrales district, province and department of Tumbes, but Ramírez said he did not know the place in question. “I imagine that the person who uploaded that information has put my name, it has actually gone. If I were, I wouldn't have to deny it, but there is a mistake there,” he added.

Seconds later, he said that it could be a record of his support for the measure involving a sector of the country that he shortly admitted not knowing. “If my name comes up there it will be as a person who has supported that bill. I may have been a subscriber as someone who supports that project and there are those who support the project, but I am not the author”, she stressed.
