The National Registrar of Civil Status, Alexander Vega, recently confirmed that the difference in votes between those recorded in the pre-count in the elections to the Congress of the Republic with the count was one million. Faced with this figure, the director of the Electoral Observation Mission (MOE), Alejandra Barrios, pointed out that responsibility for these irregularities and inconsistencies goes beyond voting juries.

“That doesn't explain why we're talking about a 7% difference between what was transmitted and actually scrutinized,” Barrios said. For the director, in other voting processes, the difference between pre-counting and counting is not more than 0.5%. “Much less explains why the impact is concentrated on this failure to transmit information, particularly in one of the political organizations for both the House and the Senate,” he added.
