Luis Carlos Contreras, father of María Fernanda Contreras Ruíz, identified the girl's alleged feminicide as one of her daughter's former co-workers, who owed her money and had agreed to settle the score with the day she was killed.

“Just because he has his eyes covered, otherwise I would recognize him 100%,” said the man in an interview with Azucena Uresti, later stating that he never saw him in person, but remembered him from photos his daughter had posted on social networks with his colleagues in the office.

In the same way, she assured that Raúl Alfredo “N”, 26, had left to meet María Fernanda on the same day of her disappearance and subsequent murder, but could not confirm that it was the man who accompanied the young woman to see a vehicle; information that the young woman's friends could confirm before the entity's authorities.

“This person owed my daughter some money and that day the adjustment was going to be made, I know what was left with that person to go and see... that person was going to see a car and she was going to accompany him,” said Carlos Contreras.
