Due to a breach of contract, Julián Gil sued the Carson Life company for 5 million dollars, it should be clarified that the Argentine actor was serving as ambassador for this company of naturist products.
This was reported by Edwin Prado, Julián Gil's lawyer; the first hearing of this case will be held on June 9 in the Miami Dade County Court in Florida, United States. The lawsuit was announced last Monday, April 11.
“After eight years of Julián Gil's professional relationship with Mrs. Sonia Guzman and Carson Life, they breached Julián's contract,” said the Mexican soap opera actor's lawyer.
Although the sum of money is highly high, Edwin Prado said in conversation with Ventaneando that both he and Julián Gil are prioritizing reaching an agreement where both positions are heard.
“What we expect is dialogue because dialogue is the paramount thing, in the first hearing all the processes that will follow are scheduled and that is when we spend it, we spend on fees, transfer costs,” he said for the evening of TV Azteca.
Julián Gil had been collaborating with Carson Life for eight years, the actor announced various naturist products that are for skin care and health improvement in general, however, the company would have disregarded itself from its corresponding responsibilities.
Edwin Prado pointed out to Ventaneando that the $5 million that Julián is demanding “protects the compensation of the conflict of interest that exists in banking”, but also explained that the actor has been deeply affected in other aspects.
According to what is stated in the lawsuit, eight years ago, Carson Life and its CEO Sonia Guzmán were interested in Julián Gil to propose the idea of using his image in the advertising of their products.
In this way, the payment currently demanded by the actor of soap operas like What happens to my family? would compensate for the fact that it has not been able to use its image with other companies “under contracts”.
The litigator said he was annoyed in the call with Ventaneando and explained that Julián Gil's damages have been very serious, since he “spent eight years in a brand so that they (decide) to leave him lying around”.
Last Monday, Julián Gil's lawyer did not detail what the lawsuit says, but pointed out that he already “delivered with professionalism to each directive and application for promotion of the company Carson Life. It is up to the company to fulfill its responsibility.”
According to Inter News Service, Julián Gil's lawyer noted that the actor “fully fulfilled as an ambassador for the Carson Life brand. He made many promotional trips to cities in the United States and Puerto Rico as a spokesperson for the designated personal care line, but the contract was breached.”
In the video, it was also recalled that the actor from Doctors, Línea de vida came to be accused of missing visits with his son Matias, prioritizing promotions of Carson Life.
It should be remembered that Julián Gil and Marjorie de Sousa have led one of the most troubled separations in show business and this time, a new controversy arose after the actor pointed out that after years of not being able to see his son, this one probably doesn't even know who his dad is.
