In the first leg of the quarterfinals, in Lisbon, Diogo Jota replaced Salah, Firmino took the place of Mané, and Henderson that of Thiago Alcantara, also at the time of play, allowing Liverpool not only to achieve a good lead in the second leg (3-1), but to be fresh for last Sunday's match at Manchester City (2) -2).

In the last markets of January, Liverpool sought above all to correct differences in quality with respect to its main rival, Manchester City, which has two, and sometimes three, solutions for almost all its positions.

The Colombian, while playing for Porto, has never lost to the Portuguese club, having scored 6 wins and 2 draws, scored one of the goals of victory in the first leg and also participated in other goals with assistance.

Recall that in the first leg, the Colombian striker sealed the 3-1 victory of the 'reds'. Luis Díaz took the ball and at the moment of shaping up in attack he managed to step aside with a quick touch, outsmarted rival goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos to define with his left leg and close the score 3-1 for the English team.

In the press conference prior to the match this Wednesday, Jurgen Klopp again spoke about Luis Díaz and stressed that his adaptation has been very fast, and he also stressed that in training the Colombian is noticeable the joy that the Colombian has for wearing the Liverpool shirt.

“You can't stop smiling in training, it's crazy. We didn't know how quickly he would adapt. All the players we've signed in the last few years are happy. It's not the worst place in the world here. Luis Diaz isn't here, but the fact that he really enjoys training is great,” Klopp said.

The match, which closes the key to the Champions League quadrangular phase, will be held this Wednesday at 2:00pm Colombian time at Anfield Stadium, and will be broadcast on ESPN channels.
