Receiving all the integral elements that his condition requires, the former footballer and current sports panelist, Freddy Eusebio Rincón Valencia, remains in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Imbanaco Clinic in Cali, Valle del Cauca.

Although the communications office of the Caleño medical center announced that the patient is still in a critical condition and his prognosis remained reserved around 9:35 a.m. this Tuesday, April 12, the hospital released the #4 statement on the state of health of the Tricolor idol at the 1990 World Cup in Italy.

In this new report, medical specialists reported that the former player “continues to receive the necessary measures in the Intensive Care Unit. With all the relevant specialties and sources of knowledge that allow us to make the best decisions.”

Laureano Quintero, medical director of the Imbanaco clinic, told on March 12 that Freddy's condition is maintained with advanced support measures. With critical condition, his prognosis has not changed and in view of the fact that his evolution has not been as expected, more resources have been implemented so that the former footballer can be in optimal condition.

Quintero announced that they will carry out additional tests on Freddy Rincón's brain and that they will serve as a guide to implement the most appropriate work plan.

After receiving the support of the fans, family and friends of Rincón, the Cali traffic authorities are trying to figure out what could have happened in the accident in which El Colosso was involved at age 55 while, apparently, he was co-driver of a van that crashed into a bus from MÍO de Cali in the early morning from April 11.

On the other hand, the mayor of Cali, Jorge Iván Ospina, spoke on Monday to reveal new details about the accident in which Freddy was involved. The municipal president was able to compile that the collision against the bus of the public transport system occurred at 4:11 a.m., when the Ford truck with plates UGR 410 hit a bus in the vicinity of the El Perro park sector.

Ospina indicated that, apart from Rincón, the investigation into the case managed to identify two other people who were traveling with the former player in the private vehicle: Maria Manuela Patiño, 20, and Diana Lorena Cortés, 43, who are out of danger.

So far there is no information about a fourth person who would also have been inside the car and who would be the one behind the wheel, however, there are crossed versions of the latter, as Cali's deputy secretary of mobility, Edwin Candelo, argues that Freddy would have driven the car during the collision .

This is how the official spoke about this fact, comparing one of the versions of women who were on board the vehicle:
