Four children's movies to watch this Easter with the little ones on Netflix

In this Holy Week, in many countries, children have a break, even many parents too. 1. The star of Bethlehem

The Star of Bethlehem is an American animated film, of the comedy and adventure genre. Nine months before the birth of Christ, an angel visits Mary telling her that she will give birth to the Messiah. A gerbil named Abby listens to the conversation and tells the other animals as a star starts shining brightly at night.

Three months later, a young donkey is tired of grinding wheat and wants to join a traveling caravan to feel important. His father helps him escape from the miller who owns them and he ends up with an injured ankle at the house of Maria and José, who have just had their wedding dinner. Mary adopts the donkey and names it Boaz, Bo for short, and reveals to Joseph that she is pregnant, with Joseph accepting Mary's situation after praying to God. During this time, Bo and his friend, pigeon Dave, plan to escape despite Maria's kindness, but end up staying six months longer.

It features the voices of Steven Yeun, Gina Rodriguez, Zachary Levi, Keegan-Michael Key, Kelly Clarkson, Patricia Heaton, Kristin Chenoweth, Tracy Morgan, Tyler Perry and Oprah Winfrey. Directed by Timothy Reckart and released in 2017 by Sony Pictures Entertainment. It has raised more than 60 million dollars worldwide.

2. Canvas

A grieving grandfather struggles to regain his passion for painting after suffering a loss and finds the inspiration to recreate. (Netflix)

Canvas (Canvas in Spanish) is an American animated short film. In this one, a grandfather is very sad about the loss of his wife. And although her granddaughter tries to get her spirits back, she doesn't succeed. However, a fantastic event will make grandfather regain his joy and in the process return to his great passion: to repaint. Written and directed by Frank E. Abney III. It was released on December 11, 2020 on Netflix.

3. Beyond the moon

A brilliant girl builds a rocket and takes off to prove that the goddess of the moon really exists. (Netflix)

An intelligent girl, determined and in love with science builds a rocket to travel to the moon and prove the existence of a legendary goddess. There the little girl, named Fei Fei, will be involved in an unexpected adventure and will discover an enigmatic world of fantastic creatures. Beyond the moon is a fascinating adventure reminiscent of that of Alice in Wonderland.

It premiered on October 23, 2020 on Netflix. It is a co-production between China and the United States.

4. Las travesuras de Peter Rabbit

The story goes that the mischievous rabbit Peter has been sneaking into the garden of the old and irascible McGregor for years to steal food. When the old man dies, Peter, his family and friends think that all his ills are over, until McGregor's great-nephew and heir appears. It is here that the fun odyssey to claim and defend what is considered to be its own, will start a battle between the animals of the countryside and Thomas (the great nephew).

Released on February 3, 2018, directed by Will Gluck.
