Faustino Asprilla's heartfelt message to his “brother” Freddy Rincón, after the heavy vehicle accident

The former footballer remains with a very reserved prognosis in the ICU of the Imbanaco Clinic in the city of Cali

Freddy Rincón suffered a severe traffic accident in the early hours of Monday, April 11, after the van he was driving in ran a red light and collided with a bus of the MIO service. The former footballer was the one who took the brunt because he was traveling as a co-driver, part where the bus hit was received.

The legend of the World Cup in Italy 90 was transferred to the Imbanaco medical center where he was admitted to surgery for severe craniocerebral trauma and later referred to the ICU where he remains with advanced support and under a reserved prognosis due to the severity of the injuries caused by the accident.

Freddy Rincón has received several messages since his state of health became known, but one of the most senses was that of Faustino Asprilla in the middle of the ESPN F90 program. The former striker assured that 'The Colossus of Bonaventure' was like a brother to him and recalled the important dates in which they shared together:

Already in a broken voice he recalled the accident that Rincón suffered in Buga, Valle del Cauca, which put him in a similar situation, but from which he managed to get ahead. In addition, he invited to pray for the health of his companion and to have faith that everything will turn out in the best way:

The messages of support were joined by two other former footballers who are part of the program's panel. Victor Hugo Aristizábal pointed out that the group of football players who ranked the world championships in the 90 are like a family, so the news about Freddy's state of health is not easy to assimilate:

Meanwhile, Óscar Córdoba closed the interventions saying that this was another battle like the many that he experienced on the pitch with Rincón and that he was confident that everything would turn out in the best way:

The various Colombian professional football clubs sent their messages of support to Freddy Rincón, as well as the clubs for which spent in international football as Corinthians, where he became the first Colombian to win an Intercontinental Cup, and Real Madrid where he came after his outstanding performance in Italy 90, where he turned the remembered goal into a 1-1 draw against Germany.
