Charly Rodríguez dedicated an emotional message to Cruz Azul prior to the semifinal against Pumas

The Azteca Stadium court will be the stage where the first finalist of the Concacaf Champions League will be known; “La Máquina” will arrive at the match with different casualties, including that of Carlos Rodríguez

In a matter of hours, the finalist representing Liga MX will be known who will compete for the title of the Concacaf Champions League. Cruz Azul and Pumas will meet at Estadio Azteca to play the second leg of the Concachampions semifinals.

Carlos Rodríguez, midfielder of La Máquina, will not be able to have activity in the match due to an injury, so he will be out for the cement squad. Because of the importance of the duel, Charly Rodriguez took the time to dedicate a few words to his club.

Through social networks, Charly used his verified Twitter profile to share the emotion generated by being absent and stated that he is with the celestes “until death”. This is what Charly Rodríguez said:

He accompanied his publication with a photograph of him wearing the Cruz Azul shirt. His message quickly exceeded more than eight thousand “like” reactions and received hundreds of comments in which the fans wished him a speedy recovery.

“I know that today all your teammates, and the FANS will leave everything on the court and in the grandstand for you, Charly Rodríguez”, “Come on charly, you will get stronger we are with you” and “I encourage Charly; your youth plus your physical and mental strength will overcome this obstacle that today marginalizes you from this commitment”, were some of the answers received by the 25-year-old footballer.

The injury that prevented Charly from competing in the Concachampions was a fissure in the fibula of his right leg. During the Matchday 13 match between Mazatlan and Cruz Azul, the Rayados academy left the court after a clash with Jefferson Intriago.

It was until Sunday, April 10, that the severity of the injury became known and the period that the Mexican midfielder would be absent. Therefore, the national team will not be active on the court for an estimated period of six weeks. A sensible loss for the closing of the season for the Celestial Machine because they will not be able to count on him until the league.

With an adverse score for cemeteries, Cruz Azul will receive a visit from Pumas on the Azteca Stadium court to define the Concacaf finalist. In the first leg, the Universidad club took the lead with a score of 2-1, which complicated the outlook for Juan Reynoso's squad.

What the Peruvian coach will need to think about the final will be a minimum score of 2-0, the most important thing is that he must keep his score, since if the felines manage to make one score or more, they would be completely eliminating the ones from La Noria.
